Nickname (and story behind it) - "C-money", coined and told by my good friend Eric "cool breeze" Campbell (JAX3), stems from Dayton 2002 as I was 31 for 34 with 12 bombs, and Eric says it's like money in the bank each at bat. Hence the C-money was born and has stuck amongst my team mates at Pinellas SO (2005 Florida Gold Medalist's), Metro Red friends and of course Jacksonville Police Softball Club.
Sports background - College Baseball 1988,1989- High School Football and Baseball
Softball History - started 1990 locally, went up to A ball with Steele's Team in mid-90's, joined PCSO team in 1995 and have won various medals at the Florida Police and Fire Games. Joined Robbie and Jax in 2000 and have been lucky enough to travel this great country playing softball against my friends and peers.
Current Police Team - Jacksonville Police Softball Club and Pinellas Softball Club
Past Police Teams – I fill in occasionally for Metro Red Miami (when they need a catcher :)
Proudest Police Softball Moments - of course winning the 2005 Dayton National Championship after finishing 2nd twice(me personally) and winning the 2005 Gold Medal at the Florida Police Olympics after finishing second 3 different times.
Lowest Softball Moment - none, just playing the game we love with friends and co-workers is good enough. Especially at our age.
Future personal goals in Police Softball - Win the 2006 Police World Series of Softball and repeat as Florida Gold Medalist's to begin a Dynasty.
Where do you see our sport in 5-10 years - Better off because of people like Jeff and Del who took their idea and vision and ran with it.
What is one thing you would change about police softball - Definitely the Home Run Limits- I’m just a big fat kid who likes to hit the ball a long way and watch it fly. In the words of the immortal "Mr. Whipple": chicks dig the long ball.
