This will be your official roster for the 2008 PoliceSoftball.com World Series. All rosters must be completed and turned in prior to 10-1-08. After that date, no new additional players may be added. Rosters are limited to 25 players and rosters must be completely filled out.

Rosters will be used to determine eligibility standards. If you have a question regarding eligibility, please contact PoliceSoftball.com as soon as possible prior to making travel arrangements. If a player does not qualify, he will not be allowed to play.

PoliceSoftball.com minimum eligibility standards (police officer, corrections officer, parole officer and a probation officer only) are in effect for the World Series.

There are many definitions across the country as to what a police, parole, corrections, or a probation officer is. The following will help you determine what PoliceSoftball.com uses as its standard definition:

POLICE OFFICER: Must be full time and sworn or officially retired police officer whose employer is/was a governmental agency. A Police Officer’s basic duty includes the enforcement of laws, arrest powers and he may legally carry a firearm in the course of his employment. If you must ask if someone is a police officer, then he probably is not a police officer. (Federal Agents typically qualify under this title) NOTE: There are many positions and titles that technically qualify as having arrest powers and are legally able to carry a firearm. If your basic duties are not that as a peace officer, then you do not qualify. Examples of positions that DO NOT qualify are:
1) A prosecutor with arrest powers and a CCW.
2) A. Fire Dept. employee assigned as an arson investigator with CCW and arrest powers.
3) A judge with arrest powers and a CCW.
4) An elected official with arrest powers and a CCW that did not attend an academy.

CORRECTIONAL OFFICER: Must be a full time or officially retired correctional officer whose employer is/was a governmental agency. Employees of private firms contracted to do law enforcement correctional duty do not qualify. A Correctional Officer’s basic duty includes the management of inmates/prisoners.

PROBATION OFFICER: Must be a full time or officially retired probation officer whose employer is/was a governmental agency. A Probation Officer’s basic duties include the supervision and management of probationers.

PAROLE OFFICER: Must be a full time or officially retired parole officer whose employer is/was a governmental agency. A parole officer’s basic duty includes the supervision and management of inmates under the control of the parole system.

All final eligibility decisions will be decided by PoliceSoftball.com. Any attempt to circumvent the true profession of a player on a roster will result in a lifetime ban from the PoliceSoftball.com World Series for all parties involved.

ALL PLAYERS MUST BE FROM THE SAME STATE. Grandfather clause exception: Outside state players who were grandfathered in prior to the 2008 season. Those players have already been previously registered and no new players can be added.
