Ed began playing softball with the Vernon PoliceDepartment softball team in the late 1990’s and then the Downey Police Department softball team inthe 2000’s. Ed showed consistent power along with the ability to hit the ball from foul pole to foulpole. Ed gained the reputation from his teammates as a natural leader and made a name for himselfon the circuit with his competitors as a consistent hitter and like able guy. Ed was again a provenleader and consistent hitter among the major division.
