John Marsden

John Marsden was one of the premier players on the circuit during the 70’s and early 80’s. Marsden is the father of Chris Marsden current LAPD great. John was a five tool player with plenty of power and a speed in the outfield. John was named to many all tournament teams and has received numerous MVP awards during his career. John was a key contributor to the LAPD team during the 70’S and early 80’S and very rarely batted below .700. During that time period LAPD won gold medals in each of the California Police Olympics except for one silver. John was also one of the main reasons LAPD had a perfect 1978 season in which they won World Police Olympics in San Diego.
