Rick Tirelli
Rick founded the NYPD Blues softball club in 1998 when decided the time had come to manage and create a team that would be a police softball power. This goal didn’t take too long to come to fruition as his team won their first tournament they played in. Under Rick’s guidance, the team went on to win Dayton National Championships in 2002 and 2004. In 2009, Rick was named the PoliceSoftball.com East Coast Manager of the Year. In 2010, Rick showed why he had earned that award by leading his NYPD Blues to an undefeated run in October to capture the PoliceSoftball.com World Series Championship by beating the vaunted Ohio Lawmen in the championship game. Ricks dedication to the game is without a doubt second to none. He is always trying to make the difference in players lives (his own and others) and this is what makes him special. In between the lines, Rick’s team is someone you don’t want to see. Outside the lines there is no better friend.
