Gabe ''G-Rod'' Rodriquez

Gabe started his Police Softball career in 1994 playing under Hall of Fame coaches / players Rick “Piggy” Record and Todd Waymire. Gabe made his mark on the softball diamond as a pitcher. I have heard many say Gabe was a USSSA pitcher back before PS.COM adopted the USSSA rules. Gabe utilized many different pitches to keep hitters off balance and enable LAPD Blue to compete for many tournament championships. Gabe was a staple up the middle for the LAPD Blue with his “hockey goalie” like defense on lasers hit up the middle. Most coaches on the circuit will tell ya you have to build or start a team with a quality pitcher. Gabe was that piece for LAPD Blue and became a huge part of LAPD Blue success in the late 90’s and early 2000’s.
