2025 Police Softball Hall of Fame Inductees

Hall of Fame Rings can be purchased by contacting our ring coordinator Ryan Register of the Center Mass Softball team from Tampa Bay, Florida

This year marks the 20th anniversary of the World Series so those who are inducted into the Police Softball Hall of Fame will be honored on one of our biggest stages in Las Vegas, Nevada during the World Series XX Opening Ceremonies on Friday afternoon/evening.   After the opening ceremonies, guests will be treated to a Home Run Derby and traditional East vs. West All Star game with one twist.  The players will be using wooden bats!

There were many strong candidates for the Hall of Fame class 2025 and HoF Committee Chairs, Dennis Leonard (East) and Tyson Becker (West) spent countless hours painstakingly reviewing the submissions, engaging in dialogue with their committee members and ultimately overseeing the voting process.  The following players/coaches will be inducted into this year’s Hall of Fame:

WEST

Ryan Coe-SoCal Alliance:  For 15 years his team, SoCal Alliance was (arguably) the most dominant team in our sport as they were ranked the #1 team in the West in 11 of the 15 years and won 6 World Series championships. To put things in perspective, the next closest team has 4 championships and no other team has more than one. If the Alliance was the NFL version of the Patriots, Ryan would be Tom Brady. Ryan was the team pitcher and earned a Player of the Year award along with more than a dozen tournament MVP awards and countless All Tourney selections. If there was a Mount Rushmore of police softballs greatest all around players, Ryan would be on it.

Steve Wrathall-Sacramento Razorbacks:  • 15 Years in Police Softball: A true veteran of the game with over a decade and a half of competitive experience.
• 13 World Series Appearances (14th in 2025): A model of consistency, appearing in nearly every Police Softball World Series since entering the circuit. The only missed year was during the COVID-19 pandemic.
• 10 Top-10 Finishes with 4 Different Teams: Demonstrating versatility and leadership across multiple rosters.
• 6 Top-5 Finishes with 2 Different Teams: Helped elevate each team he played for into serious title contention.
DEA Combo / DEA
• 2013 – World Series All-World Selection: Instrumental in DEA Combo’s 3rd-place finish.
• 2014 – World Series Champion (Team MVP): Anchored the pitching staff during a title-winning campaign and earned team MVP honors.
• 2015 – Bacon Ball National Champion: Contributed to DEA’s championship win at a major national tournament.
• 2018 – World Series Runner-Up: Once again helped lead DEA to the championship game, finishing 2nd overall.
Nitro2Go
• 2021 – World Series All-World Honors: Played a key role in Nitro2Go’s 3rd-place (Gold Division) finish, earning individual recognition for his performance.
Sacramento Razorbacks
• 2022–Present – Key Pitcher and Leader: Since joining the Razorbacks, Steve helped the team return to relevance in the Major/Mid-Major division.

Ray Ghiliotty-SoCal Alliance:  Ray began his Police Softball (PS.com) journey in 2005 with RSO Black, then RSO Red, before finding his stride with powerhouse So Cal Alliance. A standout power hitting third baseman, dependable relief pitcher, he was known for elite defense and championship readiness—playing a key role in their back-to-back PS.com World titles in 2012 and 2013. Ray’s loyalty and commitment throughout his distinguished law enforcement career mirrored the rock-solid dependability he brought to every dugout he entered. One of the few active players with over 20 years in the PS.com circuit, Ray is widely respected as a foundational figure in the sport.

Chris Hutchinson-State 48 Syndicate:  Chris joined the Cleveland softball team in 2004, playing with Cleveland Metro, which evolved into the Buckeye Lawmen and took second place in the Palm Springs held PS World Series. This was a time without divisions so it was a true “Hoosiers” run to the championship game against SoCal Alliance. He also competed in tournaments with the Greene County Enforcers, contributing to the team during the buildup to their World Series championship.

After relocating to Arizona in 2010, he immediately made his mark by founding the Arizona Ablaze, a team that would go on to win the Mid-Majors World Championship in 2017, in addition to capturing Gold Medals at both the Arizona Games and Nevada Games (Seniors Division). His passion for the game and talent for team-building never waned.

He later played multiple tournaments with Goodyear PD, contributing to their success before their own World Series victory, and ultimately merged with several Goodyear players to form “State 48”, a team he still plays for today. Even while playing two seasons with Arizona Heat, he continued to manage and sustain State 48, showcasing his rare ability to lead, coach, and compete at the highest levels simultaneously.

His playing résumé is unique since he has been on both East and West coast teams for many years at a time. From playing in the old school National Police Championships in Dayton to tournaments in Detroit, Chicago, Virginia Beach, Jacksonville, Cincinnati, NYC, Dallas, San Diego, LA, Palm Springs, and Reno he has supported the growth and sustainability of this circuit his entire career.

Paul Steffenauer- Team Texas:  Pauls on-field performance was consistently exceptional. Known for his intense competitive spirit, he consistently hit above .750 at the plate, possessing the rare ability to either place hit or unleash a long ball when the moment demanded it. In his younger years, he dominated at shortstop and was capable of playing any infield position. As his career progressed, he seamlessly transitioned to pitching, second base, and first base.

His leadership and dedication translated into an incredible array of achievements:
-17 Texas Police Athletic Federation Gold Medals
-10 Texas Police Athletic Federation Gold Medals in the 35+ category
-2 Texas Police Athletic Federation Silver Medals
-4 Guns and Hoses Public Safety Softball Championships
-5 Championships with the Houston Chapter of The Latino Police Association Softball Tournament
-2 National Law Enforcement Memorial Championships

- 2 Nevada Police Games Silver Medals
