2025 West Conference Player of the Year: Robert Mason, DEA Combo

Rob Mason is our WC Player of the Year for a variety of reasons. The fact is, he has been one of the top players in the nation for well over a decade and is the glue that holds the DEA Combo together. Rob started out as a prolific homerun hitter and we have seen his game evolve into where it is now, one of the top overall players in the circuit. When the team needed a pitcher, Rob took on that role and has become one of the best “shut down” pitchers in our sport due to a deceptive looping delivery and fearless attitude defensively. He can still hit for power with the best in the game, but has become such a complete hitter he rarely hits mistake home runs.

More than anything else, he is a LEADER. The DEA Combo rallies around Rob and his “never say die” attitude. There have been many occasions where the Combo has been “overmatched” on paper or short-handed but under Rob’s lead, they manage to pull off victory after victory. It is difficult to be a top pitcher in our sport. It is difficult to be a top hitter in our sport. It is difficult to be a top leader in our sport. Somehow, Rob checks all those boxes and because of these attributes, he is our WC Player of the Year!
