Marieo Foster is Shevy Wright Sportsman of the Year
The Shevy Wright Sportsman of the Year award is designed to acknowledge the player who gives more to our sport than he takes. It is designed for someone who truly understands the spirit of police softball and generally puts the good of the game over personal desires. That is why The Brotherhood’s MARIEO FOSTER has earned the honor this year. This is a man who has been Easton’s ambassador (appointed by Brett Helmer) the past 5+ years at the World Series. He is involved in the event from the first pitch all the way through the final championship game. On top of that, he won the HR DERBY back-to-back years (first and only time ever accomplished by anyone) and he won an AR-15 patrol rifle both years courtesy of Bud’s Gun Shop. What did Marieo do with the rifles? He donated them back to PS.COM to be sold for charity. Marieo’s contributions to the game as an ambassador exceed even his own impressive resume as a player and we are proud to name him, Sportsman of the Year.
