2024 Manager of the Year Announced

The Police Softball Manager of the Year award was renamed the Walt Conry Manager of the Year several years ago to pay tribute to legendary New York Metro manager who went by the nickname, “Red.” Throughout the years over a dozen managers have received this prestigious award and this year the award is being given to DENIO RODRIGUEZ of the Florida (Tampa Bay area) based, Center Mass team.

Denio has taken Center Mass from a team that only played locally into a legitimate travel team that has ascended from Gold competitor, to Gold Division World Champion, to Majors Division contenders. The Center Mass team travels the nation and finished as runners-up in the West Coast Championships Mid Majors division in San Diego, Ca. earlier this season.

With Denio leading the charge, the Center Mass team is clicking on all cylinders and are projected to bring a strong team to Las Vegas for Worlds in October. During the opening ceremony at the event, Denio will be recognized for his accomplishments on the field and presented with a plaque courtesy of event sponsor Sacramento Deputy Sheriff Association.
