2024 Player of the Year Announced

This is our version of the circuit's Most Valuable Player. If you scroll through the World Series History on the website you will see a detailed list of every award winner since we started the program in 2005. The list is loaded with the best players on the top teams. When you are THE best guy on one of THE top teams, you are in consideration for our Player of the Year Award.

One of the most consistent teams for the past 10+ years since their formation has been GREAT LAKES from the Illinois/Michigan region. They have one World Championship on their resume and have been in the heavyweight 'ship on several occasions. They go into the World Series with the hot hand after a dominating performance in St. Louis where they brought home the gold at the Show Me Classic and earned their ELITE 8 berth.

Competition was tough for this years Player of the Year, but Great Lakes leadoff hitter and CF, TRAVIS PERKOLA separated himself from the pack by earning tourney MVP honors. Travis is exactly what we look for in a Player of the Year as he is the best all around player on, arguably the best (or at least in consideration) for the best team in the nation. Travis is a "true" 5 tool player as he can hit for average, power, he can run like a gazelle, plays lockdown defense and has a plus throwing arm. On top of all that, he is an amazing teammate and an ambassador to our sport. Travis is the present AND future of our sport and we are proud to name TRAVIS PERKOLA the PS.COM PLAYER OF THE YEAR.

Travis will be honored during our opening ceremony at the World Series on Friday night.
